I enjoy working with glass because of its richness in colour. From gentle greens to vibrant purples there is a real wealth to the light that shines through it. When one of those grey days comes along, a splash of colour can go a long way.

Stained Glass Commissions
The first stage of making a panel involves measuring the chosen space, these dimensions can be sent to me via email and I will provide you with a quote. We will then go on to discuss design ideas such as content and colour etc. This will form the basis for me to create a design for you.
Once the design is decided upon it will be drawn up, the glass cut, painted and fired as required in my kiln. The pieces of glass are finally leaded and soldered together using my gas iron. The panel can then be delivered to your home or collected in person.
Sculptural Commissions
The sculptures I make require a combination of materials, often glass, metal and lead. I appreciated the outline of the lead and how that defines the overall character of the sculpture. The lead blends in nicely with the metal base which provides the rigidity. Tucked under the lead is a copper support that goes around the length of the perimeter, this is either in copper of brass. If you have something in your imagination you would like made we will go from there as every creation is unique with its own personality and way of being made.
Fused Glass Commissions
My fused glass pieces are often based upon a theme or made for a specific location with the colour scheme and/ or dimensions in mind. Using both transparent and opaque glass as well as fritted glass and enamels I can make something that is bold or subtle. The fused glass pieces are a standard 6mm thickness so that they are strong and durable. The glass is fired and slumped in my kiln reaching a temp of up to 780 degrees.
