This Painted Stained Glass Sculpture is based on the Russian story of the Sirin. With the head of a woman and the body of a bird this folk character can be seen throughout many stories. In this adaptation the Sirin is singing mournfully into the sky, her beautiful voice reaching the highest of notes, much like the song thrush.
The frame is made from steel and the base treated wood.
